While we don’t generally recommend car seats that aren’t built for purpose, the Doona has proven to be a safe, reliable and convenient car seat in required and additional crash testing. #CarseatFullstop rating - 4/5 The Doona operates as a compact rearward facing infant car seat, which can be used up to 13kg or 81cm (whichever is reached first). The seat itself weighs 7kg. The seat installs simply with a seat belt alone. Alternatively, you can purchase and use an ISOfix base which it clicks into. It has a built-in travel system and unfolds into an easy-to-use pram. The car seat is also approved internationally for use on flights, although you should double check with your airline in advance. Crash testing explained by #CarseatFullstop here (link). Safety Ratings: Passed basic safety standard: ECE R44/04 External testing: ADAC +2.4 (Good) Which? 61% (with seatbelt); 62% (with base) We do not recommend using any car seat other than an infant car seat for a baby under 13kgs or 75cm. An infant seat is specifically designed to protect your developing baby.

I have had the doona since the birth of my baby. She is now 13 months. My husband works and I chose to stay at home with baby which means all the shopping and errands are done by me during the day and the Doona makes it so simple for me to travel everywhere and anywhere with my child. I don't have to worry about the hassle of taking a pram and a car seat as everything is in one. However my child now weighs 10kg and the Doona is getting a bit small for her. Also when we go out, there isn't a tray or basket on the pram for you to put additional stuff in which means if you go to the mall and you buy a loaf of bread and milk, you have to carry the packets/bags in your hand or if you taking your baby's flask that doesn't fit into the diaper bag that attaches to the pram, then you have to carry it around in another bag. It does have its pros and cons but it has served me well for these couple of months but I would have to get something a little bigger now.

I am a first time mom and the Doona has been FANTASTIC!! It fits into small spaces easily, such as between tables in restaurants and it is so easy to get around with it. My daughter loves going everywhere with her mommy in her Doona! It is quite heavy though, but I count it as a workout when I need to pick it up or take it out of the car 😊

This is one of the products I wish I had with my first baby. It’s been life changing! With my first our pram was such a pain to lug about, and it was so uncomfortable for my reflux child, I ended being a baby-wearing mom out of pure necessity. The Doona on the other hand is so comfy, convenient and just plain smart design, I am now a proud pram mom. I love the ease with which it is inserted and removed from the car, the natural positioning which is so comfy for the baby (even for this reflux babe) and the smooth ride. I literally wish we planned another baby for the future to keep using this pram!
