The Volvo Booster seat is once again designed in partnership between leading European car seat, Britax Romer. The Britax Romer Kidfix SL performed very well in independent crash tests and is a recommended purchase internationally. The Volvo Booster is an easy-to-install high back booster seat with wide side panels that provide very good side impact protection. The seat is used from the time they outgrow their toddler seat at 18kg or 105cm (OR 25kg or 115cm), until they are 1.5m tall and can pass a 5-point seatbelt readiness test. Booster seats are exclusively forward facing, and your child is secured using the car’s own 3-point seatbelt. The Volvo Booster provides simple red guides that work very well to keep the seat belt smooth and flat across your child’s torso and the lap belt firmly away from their belly. The seat has “Kidfix” arms, which attach to the car’s ISOfix points to prevent the car seat from moving around when your child isn’t secured in it. This can as easily be done by simply re-securing the seatbelt whenever your child is not in the seat. The seat scores well on safety whether it is attached with the seatbelt alone or the “soft” ISOfix. Highlights of this seat include its elegant soft wool cover. It is spacious and comfortable. The car seat does not only work with Volvo cars, but you do need to go to a Volvo dealership to ensure it will fit securely in your car. It is recommended that you remove the car’s rear seat headrest to ensure a solid connection with the car’s seat.
I found this to be comfortable and uncomplicated while still offering my son (s) the safety they needed while driving. It easy to clean which with boys is a plus and lightweight so I can move
