Baby Thando is an adorable new doll that is also the first of its kind, because this doll speaks Zulu. Baby Thando is a baby doll designed specifically for little girls in South Africa and is set to pave the way for a new generation of dolls. There are two other dolls in Prima Toys’ Baby Love range – Baba Tasha and Baby Bella. Baba Tasha speaks 50 phrases in Afrikaans, including “Ek is honger” and “Ek is lief vir jou” and many more. Baby Bella is English-speaking and also features 50 phrases.

My kids are mixed kids...My daughter loves that this doll looks just like her....super adorable and realistic and is the perfect gift for a little girl. My son also plays with it with my daughter as we are teaching them how to hold and treat a new born before their sibling arrives

Love this doll, gives kids a choice in variety and is a toy close to home

Absolutely love this range of dolls

wooow i would love to get 2 of those for my girls

Baby Thando, whom our little Phoebe renamed "Sarah", was her first doll and she fell in love with it from the get-go. We loved that it has the same skin tone, and although we do not speak Zulu, it is a pleasure for her to interact with a doll that is familiar to her own surroundings. The doll baby has a soft body and we would have loved the face, arms and feet tobe a softer plastic as well. This is because she has had a few unpleasant and sore interactions with the face. Her being 5 in age, I would be a little uneasy with allowing smaller ones playing with it. It comes with a spoon, fork, plate, bottle and a dummy all in beautiful flower designs. This has really encouraged her imaginery playtime to be more fun and interactive as she gets to talk to her doll, feed her, listen to her, carry her, make her sleep and make tea-parties along with her. I would have rated it a full 5 but am still hung on the harder plastic the face is made of eventhough some parents argue that since its a baby doll and played with by girls, they wouldnt necessarily get hurt etc. Yes girls tend to player in more gentle ways, but it does not mean as a parent, I should not be concerned about their overall safety in toy usages. Lastly, an A+ for the African language, very impressive. I wish more of our languages can be added so that we all can be covered.

This is a pergect doll as it really looks like a little baby unlike the dolls in high heels and big boobs. This is good for any baby, boy or girl because we not having gender based ways of raising our kids girls are good with cars as boys are good in cooking and taking care of their siblings as well. We are a new generation moms and our parenting styles should show that. I will like my bundle of joy to have this one.

I need this, currently pregnant and i am looking for a baby doll that i can give to my baby so that we enjoy our new journey together. Do they have this dolls in different outfits?

Thank you for the "neutral" complexion. Neither too dark or too light, so most kids will find her relatable. But please dress her in neutral colours too instead of pink
